Walk Up Hero is provided by Hecano. This policy explains the information used by the app and this website. Contact support@hecano.com with privacy questions or requests.
Information stored in the app
Teams, player names, jersey numbers, lineup order, game progress, music selections, clip settings, imported audio, and recorded introductions are stored locally on your device. Walk Up Hero does not require a Hecano account and does not upload your roster or recordings to a Hecano server.
The app also stores settings and onboarding progress locally. Depending on your device settings, app data may be included in device backups managed by Apple or by you. This is separate from an app-operated cloud service.
Microphone and music permissions
Microphone access lets you record introductions. Recordings remain in the app’s local storage unless you choose to share them through another service. Music-library access lets you select supported tracks. Apple Music authorization allows the app to find and play music through Apple’s services. You can change permissions in your device’s Settings; features needing a disabled permission may stop working.
Apple Music and purchases
Apple processes Apple Music requests and App Store purchases under its own policies. Walk Up Hero uses music identifiers and metadata to prepare playback, and verified purchase information, including product identifiers and purchase dates, to determine trial or permanent-unlock access. We do not receive your payment-card details or Apple Account password.

Support messages
If you email us, we receive your email address, message, and any attachments you choose to send. We use this information to respond, troubleshoot, and keep a record of the support request. Our email service providers process these messages to deliver and store email. Please avoid sending recordings, children’s personal information, or full rosters unless needed for your request.
We retain support correspondence as needed to resolve and follow up on the request, meet applicable legal obligations, and handle disputes. You can request deletion by emailing us; some records may need to be retained where required by law.
This website and Cloudflare
This website is hosted on Cloudflare Pages. Cloudflare processes technical request information, such as IP addresses, requested URLs, browser information, and request times, to deliver and protect the website. Its processing may occur in multiple countries. See Cloudflare’s privacy policy.
We do not add advertising trackers, analytics scripts, contact forms, or marketing cookies to this website. Links to email, Apple, or other external services are subject to those services’ privacy practices.
Advertising, analytics, and disclosure
Walk Up Hero does not include advertising or third-party behavioral analytics SDKs, and we do not sell your personal information or use it for targeted advertising. The app does not send us roster or audio data for analytics. Apple may provide developers with platform-level reports or diagnostics according to your Apple settings.
Information you send directly to us may be disclosed to service providers helping us respond, when necessary to comply with law, or to protect legal rights and security. Local roster data that we never receive is not available to us to disclose.
Your choices and deletion
You can edit or delete players and teams in the app. Removing a team or player removes their associated app records; shared audio files can remain while another item still uses them. Deleting the app removes its local app data, but separately managed backups may remain until you remove them. Purchase records are managed by Apple and are not erased by reinstalling the app.
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or restrict the use of personal information we hold, or to raise a concern with a privacy regulator. Email us to make a request. We cannot retrieve roster data or recordings that exist only on your device.
Players and children
The app is designed to be operated by coaches, parents, and other people managing a team. Player details may relate to children, but are stored locally as described above. Only enter information and record voices you are authorized to use. If a child has sent personal information directly to our support address, contact us so we can review and remove it as appropriate.
Security and changes
Device security, access permissions, and backups affect the protection of locally stored data. No storage or transmission method can guarantee absolute security. We may update this policy when the app, website, or our practices change. The effective date above identifies the latest version.
